The Dinner plan

Let's put it this way, me and my work team have been trying to have a nice dinner together just to have fun and enjoy good food.Unfortunately it just never happen!!!! Believe it or not we've been trying to plan this for may be 5 times, but closer to the date/on the date a person just get sick and the plan always gets canceled. We planned to go to Hurricane at Bondi beach and we never make it because people got sick. And today we tried to go to my place to have sushi but two of them got sick. We think our dinner plan is jinxed, and I don't know whether to believe it or not but it happens to many times?!?!?

Gym membership

I just got back from the gym today. I am very proud of myself, I did 20 minutes on the machine ( i think it's called cross trainer). Some people love their exercise and they do long hours, i know that's not the case for me. One lady that i saw the other week, has been in the gym forever and she is still paddling the same bike machine. I envy those people, i wish i have the passion and persistence to go to the gym year after year. I don't find gym enjoyable, i know some people do. I like sweating and work on my muscle, but may be in more enjoyable way. I like bush walking, kayaking and ballroom dancing that would be more enjoyable for me. I am currently trapped in the 12 months contract gym membership. As I said to my friend the other day, my new year resolution is to not get sucked into good looking and smooth talker gym sales person anymore!!!

Tuesday with Morrie

I have to write this or my thought will haunt me (so dramatic). I think this is one of the reason today that i decided to give this blog thing ago (i'll promise i'll stop saying 'this blog thing' soon).

I just finished a book called 'Tuesday with Morrie' by Mitch Albom. I don't read many books and most of the time i have to drag my self to pick up a book and actually finish it. Since i don't read much i tried to be selective with my books. 'Tuesday with Morrie' is one of the book that i really enjoyed reading and i wish that it go longer.

Morrie was an old sociology professor and he was dying of ALS deasese. The book gives you a kick in life that you always need. It's hard to learn about life and observe it when you are so busy with your activities. It emphasises what's important in life and how you can make the most of your journey in this world by thinking differently toward yourself, other people and your environment.

One of the thing that i learned is about feeling, 'You feel it and you let go'. It's easy to say than do. It gives you a confirmation that it's ok to feel what you're feeling but don't hold on to it too long or it will consume you. Feel it and let it go, we have to move forward somehow. The way you look at your situation also can change your whole attitude toward the situation you are in.

I recommend this to everyone and if you want to see what's morrie looks like and watch his interview you can go to http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3863455317235235085

Sydney Festival

Yeah this is my first time writing a blog. We'll see how it goes, hopefully I'm sticking with it for a while. I thought this a new year and it would be great if at the end of the year i can open this thing again to recap the whole year just past.

First of all, what a great Saturday night with the Sydney festival first night. Me and my mob went to Martin Place to do a bit of dancing and check out the crowd. It was all ages, so no drinking. I wish I had a bit of drink before i went there, just to loosen up a bit. Anyway, the night was awesome, me and my nieces dance the night away. The music was good and it was free. There were so many people try to go in the venue but it was too full. The amount of people try to go in was as much as people inside. We were lucky. We decided to go to Hyde Park around 10pm, and it was a different atmosphere. Hyde Park was very chill put laid back and relaxing. The dancing didn't stop at Martin Place. It was a different beat, they had piano, cello, percussion and violin happening. and they had fire works towards the end. What a night!!!!
